Hardware Fittings

Hardware fittings are used in conjunction with flat webbing slings, round slings, ratchet tie-down straps, tow straps, etc. They include lifting hooks for combination with flat lifting straps, shackles and rings for combination with round sling assemblies, metal ratchets and end fitting hooks (commonly double J hooks, S hooks) in combination with ratchet tie down straps, cam buckles for cam buckle straps, shackles and cargo hooks for combination with tow straps, and flat hooks for combination with winch straps. The materials for ratchets and end fitting hooks are mostly metal with galvanized coating or metal with black electrophoresis. Hooks for lifting and shackles for towing are mostly made of high-strength steel.
