The long part is an adjustable strap with one end sewn with a carabiner and the other end with an eye loop. The eye loop end passes through the ratchet teeth of the cam buckle, the carabiner anchors to the D-ring on the trailer deck and pulling the eye loop end tightens the entire motorcycle tie-down.
