Slackline

Slackline is a type of dynamic webbing that is tensioned between two anchor points, typically trees or sturdy posts, to create a narrow and flexible line that can be used for balancing and walking. Slacklining is a popular activity that originated from rock climbing and is now recognized as a separate sport,which is suitable for both adults and kids. The webbing used for slacklining is typically woven from high-strength polyester industrial yarns, with a double-layer structure. The width of the webbing is between 35mm and 50mm, and the effective length is often in the range of 10 meters to 30 meters. The webbing or strap consists of an adjustable long part and a short part with a galvanized alloy ratchet. Each end has an eye loop, and there is an additional pair of tree protectors.

During use, suitable trees with an appropriate distance between them are selected. The tree protectors with Velcro are wrapped around the tree trunks, ensuring that both sides are at the same height above the ground. The height can be chosen based on the skill level, typically ranging from 30cm to 100cm. Subsequently, the two parts of the webbing are threaded through the eye loops and secured onto the tree protectors. The webbing's long part is then passed through the axis of the ratchet, and by repeatedly pulling the handle, the webbing is tightened and locked in place, allowing for use.
