The insider of slacksline player from the slacksline wholesaler and slacksline manufacturer shows us the slacksline tightening method in a professional way. Slacksline means walking on a flat belt, which is also called walking rope. That is, walking on a flat belt fixed between two points, maintaining body balance, and even completing a variety of tricks and movements. It was pioneered by foreign climbing enthusiasts and was originally used to practice the balance of rock climbing. Later, it became a very challenging sport in its own right, and gradually became popular in China. The gameplay includes low altitude, high altitude, challenge distance, and challenge tricks on the flat belt. There are many masters of high-altitude flattening in American history. There is no fixed rule on the webbing used in Slackline sports flat belts, generally speaking, it is a nylon webbing with a certain tensile strength, the width is generally about 2cm, and the length is a challenge limit. After using the tightening system at both ends, the flat belt can still withstand considerable tension. There is still some flexibility, but not too much.

Slackline (also called Walking Rope) refers to walking on a flat belt fixed between two points. The setting of the low-altitude flat belt is relatively simple, because the height is only more than one meter, so there is no need to consider the problem of falling from a height. Here are two ways to tighten the flat band.

A. Use Mountaineering Equipment to Fix and Tighten Slackline

Equipment used includes: 26mm wide flat belts, static ropes, iron locks, pulleys, ascenders, STOP or GRIGRI, and RACK.

1. Choose two large trees with a distance of 5-10 meters, and there should be no sharp debris on the ground to prevent your feet from being punctured.

2. Tie a figure-8 knot at one end of the flat strap and secure it with an O-lock and rope sleeve to a tree.

3. Tie the figure 8 knot (or hold it in place with a RACK) at the other end of the flat strap and connect it to another tree by tightening the system. The tightening system is shown in Figure 1. In the tightening system, the RACK is used to clamp the flat belt; The riser grips the rope; The smaller the pulling force is changed to a larger pulling force by using the pulley combination, and the more pulley combinations, the more effort is saved when tightened; STOP (OR USING A GRIGRI) IS USED TO HOLD THE ROPE AND MAINTAIN TIGHTNESS. When disassembling, simply release STOP (or GRIGRI) to relax.

B. Use a Rope Tightener to Tighten Slackline

The mountaineering equipment tightening system mentioned above uses a lot of equipment, is expensive, and complicated to operate. This system is ideal for tightening flat belts over longer distances. For short-distance flat belt tightening of about 10 meters, the use of a small rope tightener will make the operation easy and convenient. The rope tightener is shown in Figure 2. This small rope tightener can be bought in hardware stores. Note: The maximum tension that this small rope tightener can withstand is about 0.5 tons, so it can only be used for flat belt tightening at low altitudes.
