How to Use Flat Sling Correctly?
Time: 2023-11-06 Source: Author: tian
1. It is prohibited to overload the flat webbing sling.
2. When the flat polyester lifting sling is in use, it is not allowed to be tied around.
3. When using the sling, hang the sling directly into the center of the hook and not at the tip of the hook.
4. If two lifting slings are used for operation, hang the two lifting slings directly into the double hooks. Each lifting belt is hung at the symmetrical force-bearing center of the double hook; when four lifting belts are used, every two lifting belts are directly hung into the double hooks. Note that the lifting belts in the hooks cannot overlap or squeeze each other. The lifting belts must be symmetrical to the lifting hooks. Hook stress center.
5. When hoisting objects have sharp corners or edges, methods such as sling sheaths and sling corner protectors must be used to protect the sling to extend the service life of the sling. It is strictly prohibited to use the sling on rough surfaces to prevent the sling from being cut by corners and scratched by the rough surface.
6. During hoisting operations, the lifting straps are not allowed to cross, twist, knot, or twist. Correct special connectors for the lifting straps should be used for connection.
7. When using a flat sling, the flat sling cannot carry the load evenly in the width direction due to the curved part of the hook, which is affected by the inner diameter of the hook. If the diameter of the hook is too small, it will not be fully integrated with the eye of the lifting belt. Correct connectors such as hooks, rings, shackles, etc. should be used.
8. When lifting pipe objects with lifting belts, double-turn choke binding is safer.
9. When hoisting steel pipes, cement pipes and other pipe objects, correct hoisting methods must be adopted. Excessive hoisting angles may cause safety hazards.
10. The opening angle of the eye of the circular lifting belt should not be greater than 200 degrees to avoid cracking of the eye during the lifting process.
11. Do not press objects on the lifting belt, which may cause damage to the lifting belt. Do not try to pull the lifting belt out from below, which may cause danger. It should be cushioned with objects to leave enough space for the sling to be taken out smoothly.
12. During the use of the sling, the sling should be checked frequently for defects or damage, including damage covered by dirt. These concealed injuries may affect the continued safe use of the sling. The above inspection should be carried out on any end fittings and lifting parts connected to the sling. If any situation that affects use occurs, or the required logo is lost or unreadable, use should be stopped immediately.
13. After use, the lifting sling should be stored in a hanging manner to avoid long-term storage in the sun and humid environment. The storage location should be ventilated, dry and free from direct sunlight. Under low temperature and humid conditions, ice will form on the lifting belt, causing cuts and wear on the lifting belt, thus damaging the inside of the lifting belt. In addition, ice formation will reduce the flexibility of the lifting belt, and in extreme cases, the lifting belt will no longer be able to be used.
