The UHMWPE lifting sling is short for Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene Lifting Sling, which is made of  ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene. It is a cutting-edge and high-performance synthetic fiber lifting sling, is of round shape and endless type, ideal for lifting ultra-heavy loads. Therefore, it is also known as UHMWPE round sling, or endless UHMWPE lifting sling.

They have the following characteristics:

Exceptional Strength: UHMWPE is a type of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene with outstanding strength, about 3-4 times stronger than polyester. This enables the lifting sling to bear significant loads.

Lightweight: With a density of approximately 0.97 grams/cubic centimeter (lighter than water), UHMWPE lifting slings remain relatively lightweight despite their high strength. They are a quarter of the weight of regular lifting slings, with half the diameter, making them convenient for carrying, using, and storing.

Low Friction Coefficient: UHMWPE lifting slings with a low friction coefficient reduce friction with cargo or other surfaces, minimizing wear.

Abrasion Resistance: UHMWPE material possesses good abrasion resistance, providing resistance against friction and wear during lifting and transportation.

Chemical Corrosion Resistance: UHMWPE lifting slings exhibit excellent stability against various chemicals, allowing for safe use in corrosive environments.

Low-Temperature Performance: With good low-temperature performance, UHMWPE maintains strength and flexibility in cold environments.

High Energy Absorption: UHMWPE lifting slings effectively absorb impact and energy during lifting operations, enhancing safety.

Non-Conductive: Being non-conductive, UHMWPE lifting sling is suitable for environments sensitive to static electricity.

Not Prone to Aging in Outdoor Use: Resistant to ultraviolet radiation, neutron, and gamma rays; higher energy absorption, low dielectric constant, and high electromagnetic wave transmission rate.

Operating Temperature Range: Between -150°C to 80°C.

Common Load Capacities: From 100 tons to 1000 tons.

Of course, due to these excellent characteristics, the price is relatively high. For an equivalent load capacity, it is 3-4 times that of polyester lifting straps.
